Antony Spencer

  Landscape photography research.

Antony Spencer is a leading photographer from Dorset. He's being capturing the Dorset landscape for over 4 years. He now runs workshops to Norway helping amateur photographers improve. These have been featured in newspapers such as the Sun and the Telegraph.
This is Antony's winning picture for the landscape photographer of the year. Its taken at Corfe castle in Dorset. The feature that attracted me to this photo is how the path creates a line to the castle which your eye follows. He has taken the photo early in the morning to capture the frost, which adds something extra to the capture. Corfe castle is normally the main subject to peoples photographs, but to see it in the backdrop is interesting and adds depth.  I also really like the soft colors throughout the image and especially in the sky. For my Landscape image that i will edit on Photoshop i will capture a image similar to this, possibly involving the sea and incorporate the leading lines.
